Finding the best time to visit India is always tricky. We find that each season and each time of year holds its own charm. However, if you're a first-time traveler, we recommend opting for the dryer months (November to March).

During this time, no matter where you go, the weather will be nice and clear without being too hot and humid. You can have the freedom to move from the north to the south, or vice versa, and still have a top-tier experience.

Best Places To Stay In India

The best part about India is that it is host to many different experiences. Even when looking for the right places to visit, it can be overwhelming. So, if you need some good places to start with, here are our favorite spots:

Mumbai: We suggest Mumbai for a cutting edge experience. Mumbai is home to some of the wealthiest Indian entrepreneurs and Bollywood actors. This cosmopolitan city is always buzzing and its unique glamor is sure to pull you in.

Rishikesh: Famously put on the map in the 1960s by The Beatles, we recommend Rishikesh for those looking for a spiritual journey. Caught between the Himalayas and the River Ganges, it is the best retreat for those in search of peace.

Agra: If you want to see world heritage monuments and get swept up in India’s rich history, book a stay in Agra - home to the Taj Mahal.

Goa: If you are looking to break away from the usual hubbub of India, and take long walks on the beach, Goa is the place for you. Although India is more often known for its cities and spiritual getaways, we think its golden beaches are well worth a visit.

New Delhi: The capital of India, New Delhi is the heartbeat of India. It is the perfect marriage between culture, modernity and traditions.
