• Hire a driver, don’t drive yourself. Traveling was easy and stress-free thanks to our private driver, Michael, who safely and comfortably took the group to different destinations. He was very engaging, and the group enjoyed learning about the island and his local recommendations.
• Keep cash for local artists and gratuities. Some team members purchased carved bowls, handcrafted jewelry, local chocolate, and authentic souvenirs. Note most stores accept dollars but give change in the local currency.
• Specialty grocery stores sometimes stock U.S. products, but these are expensive. Instead, enjoy the locally brewed beers and liquors, and embrace the culture and food.
• The Reserve Club Mobay service is a dream! This fast-track service is for arrival or departure from Sangster International Airport (MBJ). A representative will meet you once you get off the airplane and escort you quickly through customs. You’ll bypass security lines and crowded departure halls and relax in an air-conditioned lounge area with complimentary drinks and food.
• Take the Blue Mountain Jablum coffee tour and tasting excursion, where you’ll learn about the growing and harvesting process and taste freshly brewed coffee.
• Don’t miss the Appleton Rum Estate tasting, where you learn about the history and foundations of the rum processes in Jamaica. You’ll be able to savor a range of blends on this tour.
