Important Things To Know

Unique Travel Experience

When people think of traveling for a holiday, they think of sunny beaches or advanced megacities. They do not think of the Arctic or the Antarctic. But those who have visited the polar regions will tell you that it is worth every minute.

If you’re looking for something different and unique, we highly recommend an adventure in the polar region of your choice. Trust us - it will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

Wildlife

With massive glaciers, bare spots of land, and icy mounds that stretch into the horizon, the Arctic and Antarctic look barren at first glance. But on closer inspection, you’ll notice these lands are teaming with life - if a little differently from what you’d expect!

In the Arctic and Antarctic, you’ll see nature at its most extreme. From polar bears to emperor penguins to humpback whales, these animals spend every moment fighting for survival. Catching a glimpse of them in their natural habitats is a truly awesome experience.

Natural Beauty

The Arctic and Antarctic beauty is stark but breathtaking. In the Arctic, the natural landscape can shift from icy peaks to cold, green lands. The beauty has variety and the moody skies add to the appeal.

The Antarctic, on the other hand, is bleak at first glance. The glaciers and the frozen landscape are cold and white. But the more time you spend there, the more you notice how beautiful and different it was from anywhere else in the world.

Inuit Culture

The polar regions are home to some of the most adaptive people in the world. And as a tourist, you can visit, learn, and even partake a little in the local culture. From hunting to singing to textiles, it’s amazing to learn how these people have adapted to living in these harsh conditions.

As a side note when traveling the Arctic and Antarctic, be respectful of the local inhabitants, their lifestyle, and the animals. Choose sustainable and ethical travel options to protect the locals and our planet.

Antarctica

Start your polar travel with the Antarctic. While not as popular as the Arctic, it still has a lot of charm and is, to this day, one of the most unique places we have ever visited.

The natural beauty is astonishing and there is so much to do. From climbing Vinson Massif to seeing penguins and volcanoes in the South Shetland Islands, you’ll be amazed at how much you can do here.

Svalbard

Between Norway and the North Pole is Svalbard, an amazing archipelago travel destination. Here you can witness arctic foxes and Svalbard reindeer in their natural habitat while gazing at the beautiful frozen tundra. You can also see the Northern lights from here. It’s a magical place to be.

Greenland

Don’t let the name fool you. Greenland is an icy island in the Atlantic Ocean and is a major tourist spot. Why? Because of the people. While the natural landscape of Greenland is breathtaking, seeing how the locals have adapted and colored the landscape with their homes is a sight we’ll never get tired of.

Besides enjoying the unique architecture, you can also visit one of the many cultural and art museums. You can also hike around the national parks and the ice fjord.
