Due to the pleasant weather all year round, you can plan your trip to Riviera Nayarit for any time that suits you.

The winter months are most popular because it is a dry season with warm temperatures, and it provides an escape to much of the northern hemisphere experiencing cold winters at home.

If you would prefer to travel during the off-peak periods, you can enjoy warm temperatures during the summer months. Check weather forecasts beforehand as this is the wet season, so you will want to avoid the weeks with excessive rain predicted.

  • Nuevo Vallarta: One of the most scenic sections of the Riviera Nayarit strip is Nuevo Vallarta, with phenomenal resorts, pristine beaches, and a vibrant social scene. This is a large, spacious area where we enjoy lounging on the beach, taking a dip in the ocean, and partaking in water activities for hours on end.
  • Punta Mita: For a relaxed destination, the Punta Mita area with its stunning beaches and luxury resorts is a must-visit in Riviera Nayarit. The private peninsula is a little slice of paradise for guests of its resorts, where you can enjoy the beach life and the many activities available. Our favorite part is the incredible restaurants where you can sample delicious local delicacies.
  • Sayulita: If you are traveling with friends, or you are just looking for a beach escape with lively nightlife and social buzz, then Sayulita is undoubtedly the spot for you. The area has incredible beaches but balances this out with a fun, colorful town that has restaurants, bars, and clubs galore. We love spending the days here sunbathing on the beach and then hitting the town at night.
