Aruba Travel Guide

Located in the heart of the Caribbean is Aruba, an island known for its pristine beaches with bright blue, clear water, and white sandy shores.

There are endless options of luxurious resorts that elevate a vacation on the island, making it a memorable destination for all.

If you are traveling around the island, you can make use of readily available taxis. For a more budget-friendly option, especially for longer distances, the bus system is an efficient form of public transport to get you around.

If you plan to travel around the island a lot during your stay, it might be worth renting a car for this period. For a more casual option when traveling within a city, you can also rent a bike to travel around on two wheels.

When To Visit Aruba

The most popular time for tourists to visit Aruba is actually during the winter months, between January and March. However, due to the pleasant weather all year round, you can basically visit whenever suits you.

We recommend traveling during the summer months. The weather may be a few degrees hotter between April and August, but you will save massively on travel and hotel rates.

The rainy season falls between October and January, but keep in mind that the rain is not excessive and generally occurs in short bursts. If you plan to visit at this time, you will likely get the lowest rates of the year.

Best Places To Stay In Aruba

  • Oranjestad: The capital of Aruba is the perfect place to visit if you want a balance of beach and activity. The largest city in Aruba has beautiful beaches, historical landmarks, boutique shopping, and fantastic restaurants. It is a buzz of activity, and we think it is the best spot for visitors to experience the true culture of Aruba.
  • San Nicholas: The second largest city in Aruba is ideal for travelers who want culture and vibrancy. It is a colorful city with a stunning coast but also boasts exciting restaurants and bars, and buzzing nightlife. Our main drawcard is the incredible carnivals that take place at certain points in the year, such as the Grand Carnival Parade in February and La Aldea de San Nicholas in March.
  • Palm Beach: Up north, the exquisite Palm Beach strip is a haven of beach and quality resorts, making it a popular spot for tourists looking to enjoy the island life. The crystal waters and powdery white sand are definitely highlights of the strip but you can also enjoy water sports and natural landscapes in the area.
